First exhibition opens at new artist studios in Berwick and Amy receives award
The Old Brewery Artist Studios Gallery in Tweedmouth has hosted the opening of its first exhibition.
Benchmark Festival of Arts opened its first ever exhibition, to become an annual event, in this new gallery.

Celebrating the lower Tweed, works by local artists, photographers and sculptors are on display showing all aspects of the river, from wildlife to scenes along the riverbank.
The exhibition will run as part of Heritage Open Days in Berwick, together with a photographic exhibition in the teaching space celebrating fishing heritage by Jordan Hodgson. The gallery and teaching space are available for bookings.
The event also launched the new annual Kingfisher Award. Jason Sweeney, internationally renowned sculptor, created the beautiful award piece based on photography by Ronnie Hek.
It celebrates a member of the creative community who makes a difference or inspires others.
Amy Izat, local artist and owner of 27 Art House, was revealed by Lord Lieutenant of Northumberland Dr Caroline Pryer as the first recipient of the Kingfisher Award.
