Ghostbuster brings paranormal secrets to Ashington this Halloween
One of the world’s most renowned paranormal investigators, whose grandparents inspired some of Hollywood’s most terrifying horror films, is heading to Ashington this Halloween.
Chris McKinnell, grandson of legendary paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, whose cases inspired the hugely successful The Conjuring film franchise, promises to challenge everything audiences think they know about ghosts, hauntings and the supernatural.

While his famous grandparents became household names for their investigations into demonic possession and terrifying hauntings, Chris has developed a rather different approach to the paranormal.
He believes paranormal phenomena are real, but questions many of the traditional explanations surrounding them.
He's a psychic who demands scientific evidence and an experienced exorcist who doesn't believe in demons.
It's a fascinating contradiction that has made him one of the most distinctive voices in paranormal investigation.
His introduction to the paranormal came at just 16 years old when his grandfather, Ed Warren, took him along to investigate a violent poltergeist case.
Chris has spent decades developing his own understanding of the phenomena, separating what he believes to be genuine paranormal activity from the superstition and folklore that frequently surround it.
His career has also seen him directly involved in three investigations that would later inspire major Hollywood films.
He was the first investigator to arrive at the notorious Smurl haunting, a case involving a Pennsylvania family who reported years of terrifying disturbances in their home and which became the subject of books and television adaptations.
Unlike many paranormal commentators who discuss famous cases from a distance, Chris was there investigating them first hand.
Chris will appear at The Haunted Headquarters in Ashington on Saturday, October 31.
