Blyth entrepreneur opens body sculpting clinic to help women regain confidence

A Blyth entrepreneur hopes to help women regain confidence with the launch of her own body sculpting clinic.

Georgia Dixon launched Sculpt from a treatment room in local salon, Blush, around four years ago after having her second baby and struggling with body confidence.

That’s when Georgia discovered body sculpting – a range of non-invasive treatments which aim to target stubborn fat and loose skin – and decided to train so that she could bring these services to Blyth.

“When I came across body sculpting, I went down to Manchester for three days and just trained in it,” she said.

“Rather than just going and having the treatment, I thought, ‘This is what I want to be able to do for other women,’ because there was nobody around here doing it.

“It's hard enough having a baby and trying to rebuild your identity without feeling just terrible in your own body.”

Georgia explained how she has fell in love with her job over the past four years after seeing countless gain self confidence after having babies, going through the menopause or simply needing a boost.

"I feel like I've tricked the system because it's a job, but it's not really like a job,” she said “I absolutely love the decision that I made and I’ve never looked back.

“I feel like I'm just there helping women. I grow so close to women. I've just always bonded with them. That's what I love most about it.

“I love women that are taking charge and want to be themselves again. I want people to know that it is a safe space and you don’t have to feel embarrassed or ashamed.”

Since launching, the business has grown in popularity, and now, Georgia has expanded with the opening of her very own clinic on Regent Street in Blyth.

The new premises is set to officially launch in November – and Georgia has big plans for the new space which are yet to be revealed.

“You always have dreams and goals in the back of your mind but you don't ever think that they're actually going to become true,” she added.

“I’ve got big plans and I can now actually see them actually happening because I've got the space for it.”
