Finalists for the British Kebab Awards include MAVI Turkish Restaurant in Berwick
A restaurant in Berwick been named among the finalists for the 15th British Kebab Awards.
They were selected from a record semi-final field of almost 500 businesses following more than 6,000 nominations and over 40,000 public votes.
MAVI Turkish Restaurant, on Bridge Street, is through to the final stage of the ‘Customer Satisfaction’ category.
The award winners will be announced at a Westminster gala ceremony on February 23 following the end of voting, with the independent panel of judges reconvening in the first week of February to decide the victor in each category.
Ibrahim Doğuş, founder of the British Kebab Awards, said: “Reaching the final is a significant achievement and this year’s finalists reflect the talent and hard work of the whole industry – from independent family businesses to larger restaurant groups.”
