Warkworth Drama Group to bring classic thriller to the stage

A bungalow in an erstwhile peaceful agricultural area is the setting for murder in Warkworth Drama Group's latest production.

Emlyn Williams' classic thriller ‘Night Must Fall’ is to be staged by the Group at the village's Memorial Hall in November.

When the imperious, embittered Mrs Bramson learns that her young maid Dora is pregnant she summons the seducer, Dan, to her bungalow to find out what his intentions are towards the girl. However, Dan insinuates himself into the Bramson household and the old lady's affections.

But not everyone falls for his charm, and suspicions are aroused when news emerges of the murder of a local woman.

The three-act play will be performed on Thursday and Friday, November 19-20 starting at 7.30pm and Saturday, November 21 at 2.30pm.

Tickets are £10 and can be purchased at N&F Young of Amble, Warkworth Post Office and Village Store or at the door prior to performance.

A licensed bar will be available.
