Good run for Morpeth continues with a victory on the road
Morpeth Town AFC’s good start to the season continued with a 1-0 win away to Liversedge.
They managed to keep another clean sheet and Adam Lennox scored the winning goal in the first half.

After the game, Morpeth boss Craig Lynch said: “What a group of lads we’ve got. I thought for the first 25 minutes we were by far the better team.
“Looking at the game as a whole, it should have finished about 6-3 to us. But I’ll take a 1-0 win any day of the week and that just keeps us ticking on with three points away from home.
“It’s just a proper club. Proper good people at the club and that was shown on the pitch today. Proper heart and desire, just everything that I want to see.”
Meanwhile, Morpeth Town AFC has announced a significant new partnership with Templeman Retailing & Vending.
Becoming a Principal Partner of the Highwaymen, Templeman has committed to a substantial multi-year sponsorship deal.
As part of the multi-year deal, its branding will feature across the club’s digital platforms and around Craik Park – while its vending and retail solutions will enhance the matchday experience for supporters.
For Morpeth Town, the partnership represents another progressive step forward as the club looks to build sustainable growth within the Northern Premier League system and the wider community.
Chairman Ken Beattie said: “Since appointing a full-time commercial manager, our strategic focus has been to partner with businesses that truly share our sporting and community values.
“This shared foundation is vital to securing the club’s long-term stability. With family values at the very heart of everything Templeman’s does, we are absolutely delighted to welcome Wendy, Kevin, and Karl to the club.”
Templeman Retailing & Vending views the partnership as a perfect opportunity to support grassroots football and the local community it has strong familial roots in.
Kevin Templeman, managing director at Templeman, said: “Our family business has a proud, long-standing affiliation with local sports and we have always been passionate about supporting younger generations.
“This core tradition was originally instilled by our father and late company founder, Neil Templeman.
“It is a legacy that myself, brother Karl, our mother Wendy and everyone associated with the company are genuinely delighted to continue and build upon through our new partnership with Morpeth Town AFC.”
With the deal now officially signed, both parties are looking forward to a successful future together – driving Morpeth Town AFC toward their goals for the season and beyond.
