Berwick RFC suffer frustrating defeat to league leaders Cartha Queens Park
Berwick RFC lost 22-50 to Cartha Queens Park over the weekend
A late surge from National League Three leaders Cartha Queens Park ultimately put Berwick RFC to the sword in a frustrating 22-50 defeat on Saturday afternoon.

The Borderers were just two points adrift of their high-flying opponents on the hour-mark, with the score finely poised at 22-24, but a ruthless display in the final quarter of the clash saw the visitors register 26 points in 20 minutes to take the contest beyond the home side.
For Berwick, Duncan Hardie went over twice, while Aidan Rosie and Mason Emery also picked up tries as the hosts secured a valuable bonus, but for all of their opponents’ endeavour, Cartha Queens Park - who are yet to lose a game in the league this season - made their quality count in the end. Will Smith was on the scoresheet for Berwick too, kicking one conversion.
The Northumberland outfit remain ninth in the table, and are set to face Lasswade away from home in their next outing.
