Robson Green praises Seahouses fish and chips while filming BBC crime drama
Robson Green named a Seahouses chippy as his favourite place to stop for lunch whilst filming for a new BBC crime drama.
At the premiere for The Northumbria Mysteries, the Hexham actor spoke about his love for Northumberland and how lucky he felt to film in the most beautiful parts of his home county.

When asked about where he enjoyed to stop for lunch whilst working in the area, he credited award-winning Seahouses fish and chip shop Hooks alongside their sister restaurant Neptune.
After claiming he “must have put on over 13 pounds” due to eating too many fish and chips, the owners have spoken out.
In a post to Facebook, they said: “Robson clearly has good taste, as we recently topped a poll in the run up to Good Friday this year and Hook took the top place for fish and chips with our sister restaurant Neptune coming third.”
Adding to his praise of Northumberland, Robson told us at the Gazette that no matter where he works in the world, he is always drawn back home.
He said: “The notion of home is really interesting, because Northumberland is home to me. And people go, ‘Oh, what is it so special about it?’ It's a feeling.
"I'm very privileged and fortunate to travel to many countries in the world. But I have an ache to come back here, to the familiar, to the genuine, to place, identity and the sense of belonging.”
The first episode of The Northumbria Mysteries will air on BBC One on Friday, October 23 at 2pm, featuring stunning and familiar locations such as Dunstanburgh Castle and Morpeth.
