Alnwick Town play out 0-0 draw with Seaton Carew

Alnwick Town’s wait for a win in the Ebac Northern League Division Two goes on following their 0-0 stalemate with Seaton Carew over the weekend.

The Magpies are now without victory in each of their last five league outings, and currently sit 16th in the table following a hard-fought stalemate at St. James’ Park.

Writing in Saturday afternoon’s matchday programme, manager Andy Waugh said: “We’re creating chances, but at the moment we’re not taking them, and we’re giving away goals that are hurting us.

“Nobody needs to tell this group that results haven’t been good enough. What I can tell you is that nobody is hiding. The attitude in training has been right, and we’re working hard on the details that are costing us.”

Alnwick’s next league fixture comes at home against Newcastle University on Saturday afternoon, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm. At the time of writing, Newcastle sit 10th in the table.
