Berwick’s Burrell Collection in the spotlight for talk
A talk on the subject of ‘Berwick’s Burrell Collection: Its Gift and Legacy’ will be given as the Autumn Lecture of the Friends of Berwick & District Museum and Archives.
James Lowther, head of visual arts at The Maltings, will discuss the development of visual arts in Berwick since the 1940s – a theme which will be reflected in the display of the collections when their new accommodation in the refurbished East Block of the Barracks opens in 2027.
The talk on Friday, November 6 will take place in the Parish Centre (Parade, Berwick) from 7pm.
Admission is free. There will be light refreshments and a raffle.
A new exhibition of selected items from Burrell’s collection is on show at The Granary Gallery until February 21, 2027.
