Alnwick RFC extend unbeaten streak with North Ribblesfield victory
Alnwick RFC beat North Ribblesfield 54-17 on Saturday afternoon.
Alnwick RFC made it six wins from six in the Regional One North East over the weekend, comfortably beating North Ribblesfield 54-17 in a commanding display at Greensfield.

The Northumberland outfit remain top of the table after scoring seven tries, plus a penalty try, against their lower mid-table visitors, and could extend their lead at the summit when they face second-placed Northern in their next outing.
On Saturday, Alnwick got themselves off to a flying start courtesy of an early score from Lachlan Townsend, which was duly converted by Jim Blackett. From there, North Ribblesfield hit back through Ben Coultherd, but it wouldn’t take long for the hosts to re-establish their advantage, with Jonathan McNickle and Evan Moir both going over, and Blackett kicking successfully on both occasions.
Samuel Smith would pull a try back for North Ribblesfield just before the half-hour mark, but after the interval, Alnwick pressed on again, with Townsend, William Dykes, Michael van Vuuren, and Kalvin Inglis all on the scoresheet as the away side also conceded a penalty try to cancel out Coultherd’s second score of the contest, and seal a 37-point Alnwick victory.
