Former North of Tyne Mayor to appear in Alnwick with new report on plan to rebuild Britain
Alnwick Green Party is renewing its invitation to residents across Northumberland to hear Jamie Driscoll discuss Hostage Nation: Britain’s Escape Plan.
The central question is deliberately challenging: when political leaders say there is no money for housing, transport, energy improvements or decent jobs, what alternatives are available?
Hostage Nation sets out Driscoll’s argument for changing the choices that shape public investment and the economy. Its claims and proposals are open to scrutiny, and the full report is available free online at https://hostagenation.com.
The event offers an opportunity to hear the case directly from the report’s author and take part in a discussion about how the ideas could be put into practice. The organisers emphasise that everyone is welcome, regardless of party allegiance or whether they support the proposals.
It takes place on Thursday, October 29 at 6.30pm at St James’ United Reformed Church, Pottergate, Alnwick. Free entry.
