Music education changing North East children’s lives for the better
A charity dedicated to supporting underprivileged children and children with disabilities, is transforming lives across the North East through the power of music.
Safe Haven – A Ray of Hope, is celebrating the successful graduation of its second cohort of 30 children, who completed an intensive six-month music programme.

Throughout the programme, participants developed valuable musical skills while learning to play a range of instruments, including the violin, piano, and guitar.
The programme has empowered children to build confidence, develop new talents, express themselves creatively, and achieve goals they once thought impossible.
Charity founder Blessing Olalemi said: “We are incredibly proud of every child who has completed this programme. Seeing them perform with confidence and achieve their first accredited certificates shows what can happen when young people are given the right support and opportunities.
“We are deeply grateful to our staff, volunteers, partners and the National Lottery Fund for making this achievement possible.”
