Alnwick Round Table event lead Rob Hughes said “We believe Alnwick should have a safe and organised community firework display.

"Thousands of people have enjoyed it over the years; indeed generations of families have made memories at it and we want that to continue.

“It isn’t a money-making event. Money raised goes towards the considerable cost of putting the event on and we are very grateful to the council for covering the required traffic management costs.

“Any profit we do make will help us offer continued support to the local community.”

The event will take place at Alnwick Town Junior Football Club on Saturday, November 7 from 6pm with the display starting at 7:30pm.
