Next Dobbies’ Little Seedlings Club session in Ponteland is about 'Marvellous Mushrooms'

Taking place on Sunday, October 4, the free-to-attend workshop will give children the chance to learn about mushrooms and explore fascinating UK species with funny names.

They can also enjoy a mini activity and finish it off by creating a mirror-print mushroom painting to take home.

Other topics to be included in the workshop include the surprising ways fungi are used to help our planet and how to stay safe around wild mushrooms.

Dobbies’ event programme manager, Hannah Stephen, said: “We’re excited to welcome back the Little Seedlings for October’s workshop on mushrooms and fungi, and this month’s club will be a great opportunity for children to get excited about the changing seasons.

“The free workshop is packed with engaging discussions, hands-on learning and fun-filled activities.”
