Pavilion Café in Morpeth continuing to make a profit

The Pavilion Café in Morpeth is still making a profit despite the continuing rise in running and food costs.

This formed part of a report for members of Morpeth Town Council’s Finance and General Purposes Committee at a recent meeting.

In addition, it said: “Sales trends will continue to be monitored to ensure that we are selling the right items to maximise profits.

“The new community building at the Pavilion continues to be popular with the bowlers. We have several new regular customers and continue to advertise the venue.”

As mentioned in the section on play areas, the perimeter fence at Church Walk has been replaced along with the steps adjacent to the slide on the bank.

The new swing set and large climbing frame at the play area on the bottom grassed area are now complete.

The report also says: “The floor in the St James Community Centre main hall is scheduled to be repaired, sanded and sealed in December. Users have been contacted.”
