When the school’s cook was taken ill, staff and governors faced a major challenge to maintain hot meal service for pupils.

“They say not all heroes wear capes – and their kindness and community spirit proves just that,” said Vickie Allen, the head teacher.

“Having a warm, healthy lunch is so vital for our children's learning, health, and well-being. When we needed support most, the wonderful team at The Old Buoy Inn stepped up.”

The school community extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone at The Old Buoy Inn for their kindness and generosity, while sending their warmest thoughts and best wishes to their school cook for a full and speedy recovery.
