Moorhouse Farm Shop and Coffee Shop in Northumberland now closed

Following a message on social media from Ian and Victoria Byatt in late July to let people know it was going to shut, the final day of trading for Moorhouse Farm Shop & Coffee Shop took place on September 5.

The quality of the produce at the shop, located between Stannington and Bedlington, has been recognised with a range of national and regional awards over the years.

A post on the Moorhouse Farm Shop & Coffee Shop Facebook page explained that Victoria and Ian are “semi-retiring” and moving more onto other parts of their business.

It added: “A massive thanks to all of you for your custom over the last 30-plus years, both at the Farmers’ Market and the Farm Shop.

“And also to all of the team past and present who have worked with us over that time – many thanks for making things the success it’s been.”
