Rosie in need of some home comforts after four years with Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels
We really do need to find Rosie a new home as she’s has been waiting now for four years.
If you can’t offer her a place yourself, please could you spread the word about her. We only need to reach that one person. She is coming up 13 and needs some home comforts.
Rosie is, in so many ways, the perfect dog. She’ll tell you herself that not liking other dogs or cats is simply sensible, and her strong opinions on mops, hoovers and ironing boards are entirely understandable. What she is good at though is picking up when you’re having a bad day and needing a bit of a pick me up.
She loves her walks and needs a home where she can enjoy plenty of them, including off‑lead time. It would possibly be unwise to let her off lead at a beach, even an empty one in case there was another dog or two around. She loves a freedom field and certainly makes the most of off lead time. She would explore up hills and down dales. She loves her toys.
This morning she had a brilliant run in the Fellowship Dog Training Freedom Field, kindly donated for our use, and she made every second count. Rosie will happily head out for a couple of hours, exploring hills and dales with her tail wagging nonstop. A more rural home would allow both Rosie and her owner to enjoy life to the full. She has come on well and with careful observation she will turn her attention to her handler when required when other dogs come into her view.
We were thrilled that Trixi the corn snake got a home last week but this still leave us with Jasper and Merlin the Ball Pythons. We also have two hamsters who are around 7 months old. One very inquisitive and always out, especially when we’ve reorganised their enclosure and the other who just likes to store as much feed as possible.
Lily is doing her bit for raising funds and with the help of Fantasy Prints who donated the cards has her very own Valentine cards. Available from the kennels or shop at £5 with all proceeds coming to BARK.
