Man assaulted in Tynemouth bar left with broken nose as police issue appeal
Police have released images of a man they’d like to speak to as they investigate a report of assault in North Tyneside.
At 1am on Sunday, August 2, police received a report of assault inside Barca at The Arcade in Tynemouth.
It was reported that the victim – a man in his 50s – was punched several times by another man who he did not know.
The victim sustained a cut to his eyebrow which required stitches, swelling to his face and a broken nose.
Officers with Northumbria Police are investigating the report and today (Thursday) they have released images of a man they would like to trace.
The man was in the area at the time the assault is reported to have taken place and officers believe he may be able to assist them with their enquiries.
Police are also keen to hear from any witnesses with information about the incident.
The man, or anyone who knows who he is, should send Northumbria Police a direct message on social media or use the live chat and report forms on the Force’s website.
