Yamaha Music School offers £100 music lesson scholarships in Blyth and North Shields

A music school is offering £100 beginner scholarships to help more people in Blyth and North Shields learn to play an instrument.

As part of its commitment to supporting the local community and encouraging more people to experience the benefits of music education, Yamaha Music School North East is offering beginners a scholarship designed to make getting started more affordable.

The scholarship provides one month of free lessons, followed by three months at half price, saving each student £100 during their first four months of learning.

Following the scholarship period, lessons will remain affordable at just £40 per student per month, providing a one-hour group session every week during school term time.

Class Band is designed to give beginners the opportunity to learn an instrument, develop their musical confidence and enjoy playing alongside others in a welcoming and supportive group environment.

No previous musical experience is needed, making it an ideal opportunity for those who have always wanted to learn but have not yet taken the first step.

Through this new scholarship initiative, Yamaha Music School North East CIC hopes to remove some of the financial barriers to learning music and ensure more people in the local community can access the enjoyment, confidence and social benefits that music-making brings.

New Class Band sessions begin in November at both North Shields and Blyth, with the scholarship offering a great opportunity for beginners to start their musical journey.
