‘I was born in Corbridge,’ said Kim, ‘and always wanted to write a book set in what is such a beautiful village. Corbridge is so festive at Christmas it just felt like the best location I could choose. It’s fictional, we know that there isn’t a Corbridge Castle, but I had great fun designing my own taking elements from the range of castles dotted around the Tynedale area!’

Kim’s books all have bespoke artwork covers by Felton based artist Sarah Farooqi who produces the colourful imagery that captures the eye.

‘The covers are as much loved as the stories,’ said Kim, ‘and this one is no exception and is based on the Vicar’s Pele in the village.’

You can find all of Kim’s books in a number of independent shops and galleries all across Northumberland, including Forum Books in Corbridge who have supported Kim’s writing journey since her first book Love Lindisfarne hit the shelves.
