Alnwick butcher's annual charity barbecue to support town's Christmas lights
Turnbull’s Northumbrian Food is hosting a special foodie fundraiser in support of Alnwick’s Christmas lights.
On Saturday, November 7, from 10am until 1pm, the team are holding their annual charity barbecue outside the food hall at Willowburn Retail Park.

Taking place during British Sausage Week and as part of an over 20-year-long tradition, the butchers will be serving up freshly cooked sausage stotties with onions for £3.50 each.
The Christmas lights are organised and installed each year by a team of volunteers who spent months preparing and fundraising to make the festive display possible.
Each penny raised from the charity barbecue sales will go directly towards funding the Christmas lights.
Managing director, Mark Turnbull said: “We've always been huge supporters of Alnwick Christmas lights.
“They bring something really special to the town every Christmas, and it's easy to forget that all the hard work behind them is done by volunteers.
“We've been holding our Sausage Week charity barbecue for over 20 years, and it's a lovely way to bring people together and support a good local cause.
“This Saturday, Steven Graham and the team at Alnwick Bakery are kindly donating the stotties, we're providing the sausages, and every penny you spend on a sausage sandwich will go directly to Alnwick Christmas Lights.
“So if you're out and about, come and see us outside the food hall. You'll get a great sausage sandwich and help keep Alnwick shining this Christmas."
