Delegates will receive updates on housing legislation and landlord responsibilities, including the latest developments relating to the Renters' Rights Act, eviction processes, debt recovery, legal compliance, safeguarding responsibilities, and tackling condensation, damp and mould within rented properties.

Finance and mortgage guidance for landlords will also be provided.

In addition to the speaker programme, several exhibitors will be attending to showcase their services and expertise, including Jensten Insurance Brokers, Verismart, Auction House, Weir Insurance, Mansons Property Consultants, the Valuation Office Agency and GB Landlords.

Northumberland County Councillor Colin Horncastle, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Housing said: “The private rented sector is continuing to grow across the county.

"We want to help landlords to be the best they can be for local residents and ensure they are fully aware of any changing legislation they will need to meet, so they are operating within the law.

“If you rent out a property, either as a landlord or an agent then please put the date in your diary, book your free place and come along.”

There will be refreshments and lunch laid on and an opportunity to network and visit trade stands.
