A health food shop in Northumberland is changing hands after the premises were sold as part of three property deals worth a total of a £1.1m.

The Holland and Barrett store in Fore Street, Hexham has been sold – along with two other properties – on behalf of a local family-owned property business and is to be let to health and beauty chain Superdrug.

The hat-trick of sales across the region were completed by Newcastle-based commercial property estate agent Naylors.

The deals also involve a mixed-use property in Gosforth, Newcastle and a retail property in the city’s Jesmond area.

The Gosforth property, on Salters Road, is a mixed-use building occupied by three retailers and a residential tenant.

Naylors also sold a two-storey retail property on Manor House Road in Jesmond which includes a vacant ground floor café alongside a first-floor dance studio.

All three properties were sold to North East-based investors and the sales were brokered by Jake Smith at Naylors.

Chris Donabie, head of investment, at Naylors, said: “Each property offered a different proposition and the three individual deals added up to a successful, lucrative disposal for our client.”
