Estate agency Northumberland Properties is marketing the homes and will host the showhome launch event on Saturday, September 26.

Helen Parkinson, Sales Director for Northumberland Properties, said: “King Edward’s Place is a stunning development with architecture replicating its surroundings in Morpeth.

"This is one of the first developments to be completed by Ida Homes and it showcases the exceptional build quality which is becoming a hallmark of this new developer’s work.

“Inside, the apartments have an abundance of space. The largest span more than 1,700 sq ft, which is equivalent to the size of many five-bedroom homes. Many of the first residents have been downsizers looking for a secure apartment without compromising on living space.

“We are looking forward to opening the showhome so people can take a look inside and really understand the space and quality that these apartments offer.”

Wendy Templeman was one of the first residents to move into King Edward’s Place.

She said: “Where I was living before was in a rural area. Here everything is on the doorstep.

"The shops, the doctors, it’s all within walking distance. My children and grandchildren also live in Morpeth and they are just a 10-minute walk away. It’s so handy.

“I’m in my 60s so downsizing into an apartment which takes less time to clean is just perfect for me. And it’s lovely having people cleaning the windows and cutting the grass.

"It means you can spend more time relaxing and enjoying life. My neighbours are all lovely and there is a real community feel. It’s the best thing I have done.”

There are just 18 apartments at King Edward’s Place and seven are remaining for sale.

The event on Saturday, September 26 will run from 10am to 2pm. Appointments are available through Northumberland Properties on 01665 660910, or using the online contact form at https://www.northumberlandproperties.co.uk/branches/alnwick#/.
