NOMAD to perform Stones in his Pockets at venues across Northumberland

After their sell out run of ‘Two’ in 2025, NOMAD’s Claire Barber and Keith Shotton are returning to Northumberland to perform the impressive task of portraying 14 different individuals between them.

For Stones in his Pockets, they will use their skill and humour to switch from character to character and setting to setting.

The winner of ‘Best Comedy at the Olivier Awards’ and an international success, this thought-provoking, witty story is both touching and funny as the people of a small Irish village react to a film crew from Hollywood coming to their land.

Playwright Marie Jones shows the impact of the ‘Hollywood machine’ on this insular Irish community and some serious issues are raised.

The NOMAD performances will take place at Alnwick Playhouse Studio on Wednesday, October 14, The Cheviot Centre in Wooler on Friday, October 16 and Warkworth Memorial Hall on Saturday, October 17 – all starting at 7.30pm.
