Alnwick RFC Women thrash Consett in 72-0 victory

Alnwick RFC Women ran up a mammoth 72-point victory over Consett Cobras on Sunday afternoon.

The Northumberland outfit scored a dozen tries without reply against their County Durham opponents on their way to a stellar 72-0 win at Greensfield.

Scrum-half and captain Holly Robinson led the way with a superb four-try haul, while full-back Niamh Aspin and centre Milly Phillips both went over twice each. Elsewhere, Tilly Aspin, Eve Graham, Amie Middlemiss, and Terri Robson were also on hand to further add to the impressive score-line. N. Aspin would go on to kick four conversions, while Graham successfully kicked another two.

Alnwick’s next outing comes away at Gateshead RFC Women on Sunday, November 8th, where they will be hoping to continue an unbeaten start to the new campaign that has left them top of the Women's NC 3 North (North) table with 14 points to their name after three matches.
