New parking restrictions approved in bid to alleviate safety concerns at Blyth business park
New parking restrictions are to be introduced at Blyth’s Riverside Business Park.
Double yellow lines are planned outside Northumberland County Council’s depot on Cowley Road.

The ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ parking restrictions have been approved following a public consultation period.
A council report states: “Concerns have been raised with regards to vehicles parking within the business park directly outside NCC’s Cowley Road Depot which can create difficulties for larger vehicles entering or exiting the access and therefore affecting the day-to-day operations.
"The area is largely derestricted for parking and therefore leaves it open to parking at the depot access. As a result, ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) are proposed to be introduced on Cowley Road to alleviate concerns raised with obstructive and indiscriminate parking.”
