Northumberland business owner expands into luxury holiday concierge services

Little Clean Co, owned Katie Little, is a Belford-based business which provides holiday-let cleaning services and property support across the county.

As a single mum, Katie rebuilt the business from scratch after returning from maternity leave 18 months ago and now has formed a full team of staff.

After spotting a gap in the market for the likes of luxury concierge services available in the South West of the country, she has now decided to bring this service up north.

"I’d seen arrival concierge services becoming popular down in Cornwall and thought there was an opportunity to bring something similar to Northumberland,” Katie explained.

“I spent around a year working through the logistics, taking advice and building relationships with local businesses who could supply different products and services.

"I wanted to make sure everything was in place before launching.”

Now, Katie offers personal grocery shopping and unpacking services, including options to request local produce and set-up for special occasions, all ready for guest arrivals.

“After travelling, the last thing many people want to do is unpack a food shop,” Katie said.

“With a car full of kids, beach stuff, dogs and suitcases, they might not even have the space for it all. It’s particularly handy for late arrivals and bank holiday weekends.

“I also saw it as a bonus for property owners and management companies, adding value to their properties without the extra legwork."

On how it feels to see the business continue to grow, Katie added: “I don’t think I’ve fully taken in how far I’ve come yet, but I know I’ve worked hard to get here.”
