Middleton and Todridge Village Hall will welcome Duane Andrews and the Hot Club of Conception Bay next month for a concert as part of the Highlights Rural Touring Scheme’s autumn season.

Duane unites traditional music from his home of Newfoundland in Canada with the swing jazz of the legendary two-fingered guitarist Django Reinhardt.

The Juno award-winning composer, arranger, producer, conductor and globetrotting performer’s latest album is the best evidence yet of his musical vision.

He will be joined by the Hot Club of Conception Bay, which features Erin Power with her ‘magical mandolins’ and ‘vibrant vocals’ and Niall Lynch with his ‘fiddle of fire’.

Kate Lynch, Highlights’ artistic director, said: “I was lucky enough to see Duane perform at a showcase event in a small venue in the heart of the Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland, in 2023. Our audiences really are in for a treat.”
