Italian guitarists Giulio Tampalini and Daniele Fabio return to Alnwick for summer concert
An Italian classical guitar duo are set to return to Alnwick this month for a special summer concert with Newcastle Guitar Orchestra.
World-renowned guitarist Giulio Tampalini and Daniele Fabio played to a packed audience in June last year.

Giulio Tampalini is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and charismatic guitarists on the international stage. He performs extensively across Europe, Asia, and the United States, both as a soloist and with orchestras.
He has been awarded many prizes for his performances and recordings, including the prestigious Arts and Culture prize in Milan, and two Golden Guitar awards for best recording.
In recent years he has been joined by his friend Daniele Fabio, a fine guitarist with a growing reputation as a composer.
This year they are returning to the Alnwick Playhouse with the Newcastle Guitar Orchestra for a summer evening celebration of the guitar.
The programme includes a tribute to the great English lutenist John Dowland, consort music by Anthony Holborne, contemporary classics by Sting and Gary Jules, and the world premiere of the English Suite by Daniele Fabio for two guitars and guitar orchestra, inspired by his visits to Northumberland.
The concert in Alnwick will take place on Tuesday, June 30 at 7:30pm.
The duo will also tour in Acklington, followed by concerts in Morpeth, Berwick, Felton and Blyth, then across to Heddon-on-the-Wall and Hexham.
Tickets cost £15 and can be purchased at https://alnwickplayhouse.co.uk/event/giulio-tampalini-and-daniele-fabio
