Take part in our festive raffle
The first prize in our Christmas Hamper Raffle is now on display in our shop and what a magnificent sight it is.
Apart from a bit of fresh produce, the hamper includes almost everything needed to celebrate the festive season in style. A massive thank-you to Chris and Karen from Your Local Blind Man on Bridge Street for once again organising and donating this magnificent prize.
Tickets will be available at venues throughout the town. If you would like tickets to sell to friends and colleagues at your place of work or perhaps you have a shop, please do contact the kennels and we will be delighted to help.
Our Harry Potter Quilt raffle was drawn last week and won by Zoe Perks. Thank you to everyone for their support. We couldn’t do it without you.
We have two lovely hamsters looking for homes. It is sad these two have spent the majority of their lives in kennels. They are fascinating creatures and the tunnels they make are some feat. They do need a good size enclosure, around 100cm x 50cm minimum and, of course, they are lone animals.
Jack joined us last week and what a character he is. He is so keen to please, which is typical of a border collie, bright as a button and very loving. He has lived with other dogs. Jack needs a home that will give him lots of stimulation, both mentally and physically. At only three years old, he is still learning and loving life to the full.
We have some mature cats looking for homes from age one upwards. Sadly, a lot of the time they are overlooked for kittens.
When you adopt an adult cat we can be more certain of their personalities, their likes and dislikes and how they might fit into a household.
They are all very loving and affectionate and, while we do have some in double figures, most are much younger. From black to tabby, males and females please consider a cat rather than a kitten.
