Northumberland beach named as UK's best hidden wild swimming spot

With temperatures expected to reach 19°C in Northumberland later this week, a local beach has been named the UK’s best secret wild swimming spot.

Betway Casino analysed over 40 of the UK's most popular wild swimming destinations, ranking each on metrics including search volume, Google ratings and reviews, and social media presence across Instagram and TikTok.

Taking the top spot is Little Shore, a popular crescent of sand in Amble between the River Coquet and the North Sea.

Despite achieving a perfect Google rating, the spot has accumulated just 347 combined social media posts, making it one of the UK's best kept secrets.

With only 320 monthly global searches, this pristine Northumberland bay remains mostly under the radar.

This comes after the news that Little Shore is being considered for official Bathing Water Status by the Environment Agency.

Horgabost on the Isle of Harris in Scotland comes in second place and completing the top three is Black Moss Pot in the Lake District.
