10. The Alnwick Garden
The undisputed champion of gardens in Northumberland and a huge tourist attraction. For 2021, kids go free with a paying adult, 16s and under require an adult with them to visit. Opening hours are 9am-6pm every day throughout the English school holidays and 10am-5pm thereafter. All social distancing measures are in place with sanitising stations galore. 12. Woodhorn and other museums
Woodhorn Museum in Ashington is built on the site of a former colliery so there is lots to find out about the area's coal-mining heritage.
