Bedlington theatre students to perform at Disneyland Paris in once-in-a-lifetime opportunity

Students at Razzamataz Northumberland, the region's newest performing arts school for children and young people, will be offered the chance to entertain crowds at Disneyland Paris in September 2027.

It is the first time this opportunity has been open to Northumberland students since the school opened in East Bedlington in September 2025.

The trip follows a successful visit by students from Razzamataz Newcastle, the school's sister site, who performed to a sold-out crowd in the park last year as part of the wider Razzamataz Theatre Schools network's ongoing programme of Disney performance opportunities.

Razzamataz Northumberland offers classes in dance, drama, and singing for children and young people, with places currently open ahead of the new September term.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer our Northumberland students the same opportunity our Newcastle students had last year,” said James Pennell-Tutill, principal of Razzamataz Northumberland.

“Disney holds a special place in so many families’ hearts, and to actually perform there is an incredible experience for any young person. It’s a brilliant moment for a school that only opened its doors last September.”
