We will have the following classes: Best Senior, Best Bitch, Best Male Dog, Best Rescue, Best Puppy and Waggiest Tail. So get yourself along and have some fun. It looks like the sun will be shining on us.

Class entry is £3 per show or two for £5. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class with all proceeds going to help the rescues in our care.

We've had the arrival of a big black beauty this week. He's a gorgeous male ex racing greyhound.

He is extremely gentle and loving and doesn't pay any heed to the other dogs in the kennels. He walks nicely on the lead and just is an absolute dream of a dog.

He's already fully vaccinated and neutered. He's booked in to have a dental this month and then he will be going up for adoption so keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates.

The person who is lucky enough to adopt this boy will have found the perfect companion.

Rescue Dog of the Week: Frankie

Frankie is a four-year-old Pug. He hasn't had the best start in life but this doesn't stop him loving people.

He's been fine with other dogs of a similar size to him and so we would rehome Frankie with one other calm dog.

Frankie does either have nerve damage to his spine or Pug myelopathy. This means his back legs aren't very coordinated when he is walking and he wears some special little rubber boots when he goes out for a walk.

We wouldn't rehome Frankie with young children because of this. He is just full of fun and sass and we all adore him.

Whoever adopts Frankie would have to be committed to keeping him on the slim side.
