No ghosts, but plenty of excitement at sleepover

Sixty-six brave children and six even braver staff members from the Duke's Middle School, Alnwick, gathered for the final sponsored school sleepover to raise funds for Children in Need.

Together, the pupils raised just more than £700. The evening was spent playing games, watching a movie and taking part in the ever-eventful ghost hunt.

Regrettably, despite plenty of strange bumps in the night, there were no ghosts to be found – they were probably scared away by the screaming hunters!

Following the excitement of the hunt, the pupils settled down with a hot chocolate before getting ready for bed at midnight with a few helpings of Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes to get them off to sleep.

Well done to the pupils who took part – their behaviour was exemplary and thanks to the staff for giving up their time to make it happen.
