Air ambulance called as one person taken to hospital after road collision in Seaton Delaval, Northumberland

Emergency services were called to a road in Seaton Delaval on Saturday following a road traffic collision which left one person needing hospital treatment.

Emergency services were called to Double Row in Seaton Delaval on Saturday, March 27, following a road traffic collision at around 2pm.

Paramedics from the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) attended the scene and support was requested from the Great North Air Ambulance.

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called yesterday (Saturday, March 27) to reports of a road traffic collision at 2.05pm on Double Row in Seaton Delaval.

"We dispatched an ambulance crew, a specialist paramedic, an officer and requested support from the Great North Air Ambulance.

"One patient was transported by road to the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI).”
