Santa is passing through dozens of Northumberland communities in the run up to Christmas.

A number of voluntary groups are organising events to bring a little pre-Christmas excitement to children before the big day arrives.

Alnwick Round Table, Alnwick Lions, Coquetdale Round Table and Amble and Warkworth Rotary Club are among those organising Covid-secure events.

See when they might be passing your front door… but please remember to maintain social distancing.

Friday, December 11 – Coast (north)

4.30pm - Newstead

4.45pm - West Fleetham

5.00pm - Swinhoe

5.15pm - Beadnell

6.00pm - Seahouses (James Street area)

6.20pm - Seahouses (Old Seahouses)

6.35pm - Seahouses (Seafield Caravan Park)

7.00pm - Bamburgh

Saturday, December 12 – Alnwick

4.15pm – Taylor Drive and around

5.15pm – Weavers Way and around

6.15pm – Blakelaw Road and Hope House Lane

6.45pm – St James’ Estate

7.15pm - High & Low Newton By The Sea

Friday, December 18 – Alnmouth area

Saturday, December 19 – Alnwick

Sunday, December 20 – Shilbottle area

Timings and route details still to be announced but visits planned to Shilbottle, Swarland and Felton

Acklington, Togston, North Broomhill, Red Row, Hadston North, Hadston South between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.

Monday, December 14

Amble south west, Amble north west, Amble central and Amble south east between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.Tuesday, December 15

Amble East and Warkworth between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.

There will be no knocking on doors or collecting in the normal way and Santa will remain in the towing car.Those who wish to donate can do so at Morrison's of Amble between December 19-23 between 3pm and 5pm.
