Hide AdMark Brassell, director of The Alnwick Garden, said: “We have extended our Christmas Light Trail to run from December 4-31, giving families more opportunities to come and enjoy our festive offering in a Covid-safe environment.
“We are excited to be able to work with the Alnwick Chamber of Trade, the town council and numerous stakeholders to be able to include an additional light installation in Alnwick town that complements the great work done by the lights team.
“The intention is to send some much-needed footfall towards our local, independent retailers."
Ian McAllister, head of marketing and communications, added: "There is no doubt that 2020 has been a tough year, particularly for the independent traders of Alnwick but with a wartime-like resistance, it goes to show that whatever is thrown at us we can get through it.
