"It was a nice way to celebrate my 94th birthday – it gives me fresh hope that I can stay in good health for another six years so I can get a telegram from the Queen.”

Well Close Surgery has been administering 975 doses of the vaccine over two days to patients over 80 from five GP practices – Well Close, Union Brae & Norham, Cheviot, Glendale and Belford.

Well Up North, a collaboration of 12 GP practices, worked alongside NHS Northumberland Clinicial Commission Group on the creation of three local hubs.
