The property is well placed for attractions including Bamburgh, Seahouses, Beadnell, Cheswick Sands, Craster, Dunstanburgh, Embleton and Alnmouth, making it a popular spot for visitors seeking a staycation.

Current owner, Lee Fairless has made the decision to sell in order to pursue other business interests within the hospitality sector.

He said: “We previously sold our hotel business through Christie & Co and know that they’re very active in the market.

"They have sold lots of businesses in Northumberland recently, as well as other guesthouse/B&B businesses in the wider region so we’re confident they will find the right buyer for the property.”

The property enjoys steady business and many forward bookings due to its location.

Since 2018, Northumberland has been one of the fastest growing regions in terms of popularity for staycations, so a new owner could look to capitalise on this trend.

The property would lend itself to being occupied as a residential home and could even be adapted to operate as a more traditional bed & breakfast model to increase occupancy.

David Cash, associate director in Christie & Co’s Newcastle office, who is managing the sale, said: “We are currently seeing increased demand from purchasers for hospitality businesses at the coast and in the countryside as many buyers look for an alternative lifestyle, whilst capitalising on the success of such businesses as staycations gather popularity post COVID-19.

"As a company, Christie & Co have agreed 55 new deals on hospitality businesses since April 2020, 35 of which were in the north of England and Scotland, so we expect a great deal of interest in Manor House.”

Manor House is being sold off an asking price of £675,000 for the freehold interest.
