There is just over a week to go until the start of the Northumberland Music Festival – a showcase of music, opera and traditional performances.
And to celebrate, the Gazette has teamed up with event organisers and HospiceCare North Northumberland to give away a pair of tickets worth almost £140.
The festival, from Friday, November 14, to Sunday, November 30, is helping to raise money for the charity, as well as St Oswald’s Hospice.
As part of this, the performance of Tosca on Sunday, November 16, which will take place at Doxford Hall from 6.15pm, will be in support of HospiceCare.
Tosca is set in Rome in 1700 and this new production by Heritage Opera, which premiered in July, charms and moves audiences, with its eternal themes of power, obsession, love, and death. It will be sung in English, accompanied by piano.
Admission to the event is £69 each, including entry and a gourmet dinner. To win a pair of tickets for Tosca, buy a copy of this week’s Gazette and turn to Page 45.
