Saturday, November 12: Family Open Day. Wooler Library has moved from its High Street premises into the town’s Cheviot Centre. The revamped centre is hosting an open day to show what it has to offer. A range of events will be laid on with children’s crafts and story-telling and an introduction to family history research included in the line-up. Places are free, and there is no need to book in advance. Activities run 10am–3.15pm.
Saturday, November 12: Coffee Morning and Workshops. Music performed at intervals by members of Alnwick Pipers Society during the coffee morning which runs from 10am–noon. The Pipers Society will then hold an afternoon of piping workshops from 1.30pm for anyone playing compatible traditional instruments in F-Pitch eg mouth organ, fiddle, guitar, and whistle. Afternoon tea and drinks are provided. £5 entry and membership of Alnwick Pipers Society included plus £5 for afternoon tea and refreshments. The afternoon culminates in a joint session from 5pm–6pm.
