Vintage rally heads to heritage railway

A heritage railway development is hosting a two-day vintage rally later this month.

The Aln Valley Railway’s Lionheart station site, in Alnwick, will feature an array of vehicles from yesteryear.

Exhibits should include vintage tractors and buses, agricultural engines, traction engines, classic and vintage cars, commercial vehicles and bikes.

As well as this, there will be a beer festival and diesel train rides, while the museum, model railway room and loco shed will also be open.

The event takes place on Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21, from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Admission is by donation at the gate. For more information, visit www.alnvalleyrailway.co.uk or call 01434 684650.
