Wooler gears up for Christmas with late-night shopping event

About 14 shops will be open for the event on Thursday, November 28 allowing people visiting the town to shop for Christmas on their doorstep.

Beccy Smart of The Beauty Bank in Wooler, said: “It’s going to be brilliant as there is such a diversity in the shops which means there is something for everyone.

“With the Christmas lights being put up early this year it means there will be a Christmassy feeling in the air for everyone wishing to attend.”

“There’ll also be some festive nibbles and drinks allowing you to recharge before the next shop.”, concluded Beccy.

Everyone is welcome from 5.30pm and the shopping evening will come to an end at about 8.30pm.

The official lights switch-on takes place on Sunday, December 1 shortly before 5pm.
