Vegan afternoon tea launched at Northumberland's Doxford Hall Hotel
Doxford Hall Hotel and Spa has expanded its popular afternoon tea offering to include a vegan version.
A twist on the classic afternoon tea, the plant-based version, which is also gluten-free, offers a selection of finger sandwiches, light bites and home-made cakes, with a wide selection of tea blends and coffees, from £17.50 per person.
Savoury items on the menu include sandwiches on a choice of breads, including sun blushed tomato and houmous, with Cheddar and home-made fruit chutney, and coronation carrot and sultana.
Sweet treats include bitter chocolate brownie, tropical trifles with toasted coconut and raspberry flapjack.
Afternoon tea is available in one of the hall’s lounge areas daily from 2pm to 5pm. You can also add a glass of Champagne or prosecco from £6.50 per glass.
The hotel also offers traditional afternoon tea, gentleman’s afternoon tea, festive afternoon tea and vegetarian afternoon tea.
