Fundraising events for north Northumberland charity set to resume

A Belford charity is resuming its fundraising plant sales.

Bell View which provides valuable services and activities for older people, is holding its first sale since the pandemic started on Saturday, May 22 from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Covid safety measures will be in place with the event being held outside with social distancing, hand sanitation stations and one way systems in place.

Centre operations manager, Paul Harrison, said: “Over time the plant sales have generated thousands of pounds for the charity. If anyone would like to grow or donate some plants, please bring them along on the day or in the week prior.”

There will also be Lucky Squares with prizes of a drinks hamper and garden goodies, takeaway tea/coffee, home-baked produce as well as hundreds of books and jigsaws. Weather permitting it is also hoped to have an outside café with table service.

Entry is free with proceeds split between Bell View and Belford Village Show.
