Ford Village all set for its Christmas market this weekend
More than 50 stallholders are expected inside the Lady Waterford Hall and outside in a street marquee.
Tasty artisan bread, scrumptious cakes, luxury chocolates, locally made jams and relishes, hand crafted candles and jewellery, Northumbrian cheeses, beers and gins, beautiful crafted wooden items, paper cut art, Christmas wreaths and seasonal plants, unique and quirky gifts..... these are just some of the fabulous wares on offer.

The village shops and tearooms are open, there’s a kids carousel, the choir from Ford First School will sing some carols and Santa with his trusty donkeys, Chocolate and Jacko, will arrive at 12pm and greet children in the magical grotto at Horseshoe Forge.
As well as the village tearooms, there is an excellent choice of refreshments and beverages in the market itself with Geoff Allan’s traditional fish & chips, wood-fired pizza from Earth & Fire Pizza, quality pulled meats by U’ve Pulled, and a delicious selection of noodles in crispy cones. To finish off try one of Jenny’s sweet pancakes at Ford Shop!
The event always attracts large crowds, turning the normally quiet and quaint village into one full of bustle.
It all takes place from 11am to 3.30pm.
Parking in Ford is available but spaces are limited, so to alleviate any problems there will be two shuttle buses running from 11am between Etal showground and the market on a continuous loop.
